Opportunities in consulting have never been better. The nation's largest consulting firms are constantly looking for people to fill positions requiring specific knowledge and expertise. You can find ads for these positions in The Wall Street Journal as well as in many big city daily newspapers. Consulting firms also participate in job fairs around the country.
For smaller consulting firms its best to contact them directly to see if they have an opening.
While your current position may require you to work hard, the first few years as a consultant will require long days and long work weeks. You will work harder than you've ever worked in your life but within a few years you will begin to see the rewards.
